My friend Ailey. She's fifteen years old, and is severely ill. She became ill on January 15th of last year. She had impetigo, and it stemmed from that. Ailey was provided with antibiotics and soon she was unwell with Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome. This then lead to severe M.E/C.F.S. She stayed in hospital for months but is now home, where a medical team looks after her. Due to her condition Ailey is in constant pain every day, and has now become mute. The last word Ailey managed to say was "Understand." She doesn't feel that anyone understands what she is going through, and she is losing hope. Ailey wants to raise awareness for this rare condition, and help everyone understand just how serious it can affect someone.
